b. Everett Streete Hanover, Jamaica
Ever-G - singer, songwriter, guitarist grew up in Hanover, Jamaica. This self-taught musician was the lead singer for his high school and college bands. After leaving college, Ever-G went on to perform with a number of groups in Jamaica before migrating to the United States in 1984.
He has performed with various Reggae groups in the U.S. over the last seventeen years. These include - The Unconquered People, Positive Vibration, D-KGB, The Bottom Lion and Sonz of The Most High. Ever-G has opened up shows for Third World, Shabba Ranks, Yellowman & Peter Tosh among others. He has done studio work with Gregory Isaacs. Performing credits includes Don Carlos, Michigan & Smiley, Sanchez, Half-Pint, Red Dragon & Ninjaman.
Born Everett Streete, he grew up listening to artists like Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, Bunny Wailer, Dennis Brown and Curtis Mayfield and the Impressions. These musicians helped to influence his musical style but he does not try to imitate anyone.
The artist is known for his positively and electrifying stage presence wherever he performs. He has won many fans all over the East Coast and on the college circuit. He performs consistently in nightclubs and Festivals up and down the East Coast.
In 1997 Ever-G recorded and co-produced a critically acclaimed CD for GurneyMan "Jah Gave Us Music." His most recent work is a CD entitled 'WORLD PEACE' of which he is both producer and executive producer. This album is doing well for Ever-G who wrote and sang all the songs on the album. He also did some of the background vocals and played rhythm and pick guitar on the tracks.
Ever-G recently signed with Cambridge American Visions - a record label headquartered in Paris, France, with local offices here in the U.S. Cambridge is responsible for international promotion and distribution of his album. The artist intends to continue to write, sing and produce positive and conscious music indefinitely.
